About the studio
What is Cultural Intelligence Studio?
Cultural Intelligence Studio is a founder-led strategy, creative development and AI-enabled support studio. It helps artists, creative entrepreneurs, event organisers, community organisations and independent businesses turn promising ideas into clearer, stronger and more achievable work.
Who does C.I.S. work with?
C.I.S. supports artists and creative entrepreneurs, event organisers and cultural programmes, community organisations, CICs and charities, and ambitious independent businesses and brands.
Is the studio only for cultural organisations?
No. C.I.S. also works with founders and independent businesses whose work benefits from cultural understanding, creative thinking, clearer positioning and practical strategic development.
What can C.I.S. help me with?
Support can include strategy and positioning, research and cultural intelligence, brand messaging and communications, creative and project development, marketing and audience growth, and selected AI systems and workflows.
Starting and working together
Do I need a finished brief before I make contact?
No. A clear outline of your idea, challenge or opportunity is enough for an initial conversation. C.I.S. can help identify what needs to be clarified before a larger piece of work begins.
Can I begin with one focused piece of work?
Yes. The C.I.S. Starter Reviews provide a tightly scoped first step for idea clarity, project and funding readiness, or immediate marketing direction. A Strategy & Growth Sprint is available when the priority needs more developed support.
How do I know which service is right for me?
You can use the two-minute Project Diagnostic or describe your current challenge in an enquiry. C.I.S. will recommend the most proportionate starting point rather than forcing the work into an unsuitable package.
What happens after I submit an enquiry?
Your enquiry is reviewed personally. If C.I.S. appears to be a suitable fit, you will receive a proposed next step—usually an initial conversation or a clearly defined starting service. If another route would serve you better, the studio will say so honestly.
Fees, timing and deliverables
How much does it cost to work with C.I.S.?
Fees depend on the scope, complexity and level of support required. The current five-client pilot starts at £125 for a focused Starter Review. Larger projects and ongoing partnerships are priced after the intended outcomes and deliverables have been defined.
How quickly will I receive the work?
Turnaround is agreed before work begins. Starter Reviews are designed for delivery within three to five working days, depending on the selected review. Larger engagements receive a schedule shaped around their scope and dependencies.
Will I know what I am receiving before work begins?
Yes. The intended outcome, scope, deliverables, timetable and relevant boundaries are clarified before project work begins.
Can C.I.S. support implementation as well as strategy?
Yes, where agreed. Some engagements end with a focused review or strategy, while others continue into content, project resources, campaign development, refinement or ongoing partnership support.
Starter Reviews
What is the C.I.S. 90-Day Intelligence Roadmap?
It is C.I.S.’s signature action, learning and decision system, created from the findings of a review or strategy engagement. It organises the next 90 days into Understand, Test and Decide stages while connecting focused priorities with evidence, cultural context, responsibility and review points.
Which services include a 90-day roadmap?
The Idea Clarity & Validation Review and Project & Funding Readiness Review include a tailored 90-day roadmap. Selected Development Assessments, Strategy & Growth Sprints, website intelligence reviews and larger strategy engagements can include a more detailed version when stated in the agreed scope. The Marketing Direction Starter uses a focused four-week roadmap.
Is the roadmap personalised to my project?
Yes. Its priorities come from the evidence, risks, assumptions and objectives identified in your review. The structure provides consistency, but the actions and decisions are specific to the work being examined.
What makes the roadmap high quality?
It is prioritised, evidence-conscious and realistic about capacity. Actions are connected to why they matter, who is responsible, what result is intended and what should be learned before the next commitment. It also distinguishes immediate work from ideas that should be deferred.
Can C.I.S. help me implement or review the roadmap?
Yes, where separately agreed. A roadmap may stand alone as a clear next-step document, or lead into implementation support, a progress review or a wider engagement. The recommended route depends on the work and the level of support required.
Will the Idea Clarity & Validation Review prove that my idea will work?
No. It identifies strengths, assumptions, evidence gaps and sensible next tests. It cannot guarantee demand or commercial success.
Is the Project & Funding Readiness Review a complete funding application?
No. It is a diagnostic review of one supplied concept or draft. It does not include bid writing, a full project plan, budget creation, submission or funder liaison.
Will the Marketing Direction Starter create and post my content?
No. It provides focused direction, channel priorities, a four-week roadmap and tailored prompts. Content production, design, posting, advertising and campaign management are outside the Starter scope.
Can a Starter Review cover several ideas or projects?
Each review covers one clearly defined idea, project, draft or immediate marketing objective. Wider or multiple priorities require a separately scoped engagement.
AI, research and responsibility
How is AI used?
AI may support research, synthesis and production workflows where useful. It does not replace founder judgement, client context or human review. Final responsibility for the quality and relevance of the work remains human-led.
Will my work simply be generated by AI?
No. Tools may increase depth, consistency and capacity, but the work is shaped by your context, reviewed by the founder and developed against the agreed purpose and scope.
Does C.I.S. guarantee funding, sales or project success?
No. C.I.S. can strengthen clarity, readiness, positioning and decision-making, but cannot guarantee demand, funding, sales, attendance or project success.
